faq

safety

All items are made from glass pieces soldered together using 60% tin and 40% lead solder. To keep yourself and your loved ones safe, make sure you wash your hands well after handling, and keep out of reach of children and animals.

maintenance

Every piece is polished to a shine with a protective wax coating to protect the solder and slow the oxidisation process. Solder will dull over time, if you wish to buff it back to a shine, please gently polish with a clean dry cloth, ideally cotton or micro-fibre.

Do not use abrasive materials, chemical cleaners, or water as this will damage the solder.

shipping

All orders will be posted within 3-5 business days, estimates shipping times start once your item has been posted. For shipping to countries not already available in the shipping options, please reach out and we can organise this.

All shipping promotions such as "free shipping" or "free upgrade to express postage" applies to domestic shipping only (ie within Australia).

Items are packed using a mix of recycled and repurposed materials. All plastic packaging materials such as bubble wrap and foam sheets are salvaged from local businesses.

I pack each item securely for postage, however in the unfortunate situation your item arrives damaged please send me clear photos of your package within 48hrs, and we will work together to organise a repair.

If an item is lost in the post please get in touch using the contact form. Please understand I am not able to replace items lost in the post unless you have purchased postal insurance (postal insurance is automatically included for orders under $100). If you require postal insurance for orders over $100 please get in touch once you have placed your order and this can be arranged.

customs + commissions

Getting a unique piece made can be as simple as requesting custom colours for existing designs, or can involve us working together to make a specific idea come to life.

For custom colour requests please use the form on my contact page to let me know which design you would like and what colours you had in mind. There is no additional charge for custom colour requests for existing designs. Once your colours have been confirmed full payment is required before production begins, after this point there can be no changes. Wait time can vary depending on my current order load, it is generally between 6-8 weeks, however when you place your order I will give you a better estimate.

For commission work please use the form on my contact page and let me know your thoughts! Ideas, inspiration, size, shape, budget, colours, as much information as you can think of.

Once we have confirmed details using rough sketches and a price has been accepted, a non-refundable $100 design deposit is required. Once the final design has your approval then the remainder of the full payment is required before production begins. After this stage there can be no changes. Wait time can vary depending on my current order load, it is generally between 6-10 weeks however when you place your order I will give you a better estimate.

variations in glass

Colours and textures may vary to what you see on your screen as glass can vary dramatically in different lighting and against different backgrounds, however I do my best to photograph each piece as accurately as possible. I use many types of glass to make my items including some handmade and vintage glass. Bubbles or texture changes can be expected as part of the manufacturing process and adds to the unique look of each piece.

If you have any questions about the glass used in any particular piece please get in touch!

workshops

Workshops are held at my home studio in West Moonah. Dates are put up around 6 weeks in advance, if you have a particular date in mind then you can send me a message to book a private class.

Classes a have a capacity of 4 people. After choosing your design and your own colours I will guide you through each step so you get to take home your very own piece of glass. The length of the class will depend on how long it takes everyone to complete their piece, but you can expect around 5-6 hours, although some classes can take a little shorter or longer depending on everyone’s speed.

There will be a 10/15min break before we start soldering so bring something to snack on, and bring a water bottle.

A waiver will be emailed to you prior to the day, this can either be signed and emailed back or completed when you arrive. You will not be able to participate without signing this waiver.
